This feature is from a wedding I worked on back in March of 2013. Jessica, the bride, is naturally stunning so it wasn't too difficult to make her look good. Enjoy the blog by clicking HERE. Here are a few photos from that day. Pura vida!
This month is just the beginning of the 2013-14 wedding season. Yesterday was the first of 8 that I will be working on this month! Here are some photos of the beautiful bride Carly, from Orlando, FL. She was just delightful, not to mention her perfect skin! Enjoy!
Here is a video of Michelle Butler's recent wedding at Punta de Vista in Manuel Antonio. She was such a delight to work with, always smiling and joyful. Click the link below and enjoy the video... Photography by A Brit and a Blonde.
http://jonathanyonkers.com/blog/2012/11/michelle-marcus-highlights-video/ It was a beautiful morning, and Crystal knew exactly what she wanted to look like on her special day. She was going for the retro 1920's look so naturally a fingerwave was in order. She had her whole look so put together, even down to the backdrop pearl necklace she had designed... Here are some pictures of the stunning Bride! I met Crystal the day before her wedding so that she could feel comfortable and prepared when it came to the day of her wedding. She is a doll and such a pleasure to be around. We came up with a new creation! We didn't have flowers or pearls to put in her hair, so I suggested strategically sprinkling nail Caviar in her hair! It came out so pretty, I think this is gonna be the new wedding hair trend ;) The minute I was done with Crystal, my phone rang. To my surprise there was a hair emergency that needed my services. A bride had been left without hair and makeup because of some unfortunate mix-up and she was getting married in one hour! I immediately rushed over to Jamie and glammed her up for her special day in no time...
I know it's been awhile since I've posted anything, it just gets a little tough living here in paradise... Just kidding! I guess I've just been putting it off. But here are some pics of the last few weddings I did ! Enjoy!!! It was another beautiful day in Paradise and I was surrounded by all these lovely ladies pampering the bride, Jena. Her friends were waiting on her hand and foot , and with such pleasure . I may have had a moment where I wished I was in her shoes.... Needless to say it was a breeze working with her . She wanted to go for a very clean and classic look . So I pulled her hair back and high up and created what the girls called "a flower" out of her hair. I finished it off with a tiara and a veil. She loved the outcome, as did all the girls. The day was a success.. here are some pics It was my first time doing a wedding at the beautiful Los Suenos (the dreams) Marriot Hotel and resort. It is located just 10 minutes north of Jaco, on a large stretch of land where the Jungle meets the ocean. Just breathtaking.
On this day, I was so pleased to have such an amazing group of girls around me while preparing the bride for her special moment. They all have known each other for so long, hence the great energy between them all. Full of laughter and smiles, the day went very smoothly. The bride wanted to go with a soft, and natural look , so I gave her big loose beachy waves, with a few pieces pulled back. She was so excited because it was exactly what she had pictured in her mind. There were seven Brides maids and all wanted to stick with the same theme; low messy side buns. Since they all had different texture and volume, I customized each one according to the girl. The Mother of the Bride was a Diane Keaton type . So bubbly and full of life :) I styled her hair in a more mature version of Marilyn Monroe. It brought tears to all their eyes to see each other the way they had imagined, and it gave me a warm feeling inside. Reminds me of how much I love what I do :) Enjoy the pictures!!! Monica , the bride, met a friend of mine a week before the wedding. This is how we got connected. But even if she wouldn't have met my friend, she fatefully stayed at The Parador, Manuel Antonio , which is one of the hotels I work with anyways. Such a small world! Needless to say , she is a DOLL!
So happy and pleasant to be around, Monica allowed me to create a look derived from a few favorite hair photos, and my own artistry. She imagined being some sort of Grecian goddess ,but not too over the top, all the while preserving her own unique personality. This is what we came up with :) Sorry to those of you who have been waiting for more pictures, I've just been pretty busy. Unfortunately I had misplaced my camera during the last week and half, so haven't been able to take photos of all the stuff I've done :( But thankfully, the brides have agreed to send me some pics once they get settled in back at home.... I will post them as they come. Thanks and Enjoy!
